CRT was founded in 1969. The structural division of CRT was established in 1971 for the purpose of testing and inspecting, including laminated wood products, adhesives, wall panels and other standard structural materials. Our lab and inspectors are certified by State, Local, and Federal Agencies. There are few laboratories that can offer the expertise in as many fields as CRT.

CRT’s inspection services are supported by ICBO, ACI, AWS, ASNT, and NICET certified inspectors and by professional engineers to provide a complete construction inspection and materials testing capability. Many of our inspectors have multiple certifications that allow us to deliver cost-effective, quality service and rapid response to our many clients. CRT’s testing laboratories are certified through the National Bureau of Standards and are recognized and approved by the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD). Our procedures, equipment, and personnel qualifications conform to the requirements as outlined in ASTM E-329. All field and laboratory testing equipment is calibrated on an annual basis by an outside agency as part of our internal quality assurance.
