Ursula Murdaugh, M.P.H. leads CSR staff to deliver BJA Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Performance Measurement Tool (PMT) trainings and provide guidance to JAG grantees on reporting in the PMT, developed by CSR. The free one day trainings will be held in Alexandria, VA, St. Louis, MO, Irving/Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, and San Francisco, CA. CSR staff will present at the 2009 HRSA Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program trainings to provide a basic explanation of the Ryan White Program and the reporting responsibilities associated with the Ryan White Data Report (RDR) and Ryan White Services Report (RSR) including similarities and differences between the two reports. Topics will include terminology, service definitions and grantee and provider relationships. The trainings will be held in Washington, DC, Scottsdale, AZ, and New Orleans, LA. 9/23/09 – WRMA/CSR team wins recompete of HRSA contract for another 5 years! CSR in partnership with Walter R. McDonald and Associates, Incorporated (WRMA) will continue to provide data and technical assistance support for HRSA’s HIV/AIDS Bureau Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program through 2014! 9/22/09 – CSR as a subcontract to the Cloudburst Group wins a task order with CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity. Under this task order, CSR and Cloudburst will update the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity and Obesity (DNPAO) State Legislative database. CSR will bring its many years of research, evaluation, and data management services to create and conduct a strategy for identifying state-level legislation, regulation and appropriation history that impacts these three important policy areas. 8/10/09 – CSR wins 5 year contract to provide logistical support services for Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS). In FY2009, CSR will facilitate the peer review process for the Child Sexual Predator Program (CSPP). The CSPP is a new funding initiative implemented by the Department of Justice Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) aimed at reducing and preventing child endangerment and protecting communities from sexual predators. Launched in 2008, the program provides grants to help locate, arrest, and prosecute child sexual predators and exploiters, and enforce state sex offender registration laws. The program will support community policing initiatives throughout the United States by promoting partnerships between law enforcement and United States Attorneys Offices (USAO), as well as with other community partners, such as the U.S. Marshals Service, parole and probation offices, social service agencies, and state or local prosecutors, to collectively reduce and prevent child endangerment by sexual predators. 7/17/09 – CSR wins recompete of OJJDP 4-Year Evaluation Management Contract. CSR was successful in recompeting the OJJDP contract.
