Jay A. Tavarez CEO Jay purchased the assets of Astrobond Rubber Molding Company in 1983, and changed its name to CT Industries, Incorporated He initially took care of the operations side of the business while his partner at the time handled sales. After buying-out his partner, in 1984, Jay took over full responsibility of the company. Since that time, he has overseen the growth of the company, with the help of his executive management team. Prior to starting CT Industries, Jay was involved in domestic and international employee relations with NL Industries. There he oversaw all human relations duties in the company ’s Latin American and Pacific operations. Prior to this he worked for the State of Texas and the U.S. Government in various capacities. Rafael Tavarez President Rafael brings his discipline and training from the military and law enforcement to CT Industries. He has eight years of military service in the USMC and USMC Reserves plus three years experience in law enforcement as a certified Peace Officer in Dallas, Texas. His knowledge of the military has proven very beneficial in supplying products and working with this market. For the past seven years with CT Industries, Rafael has also gained experience in the rubber industry by holding different positions and working with various departments at the company. Today he is a key factor in the continue growth of the company. David Zedaker General Manager David has been employed with CT Industries since 1998. He has 20+ years of experience in the custom elastomer molding industry. During his two decades in the business, he was held various quality related positions and served the automotive, military, oilfield and general industrial markets. As an ASQ certified Quality Engineer, David understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. His knowledge and applied technologies include the development and operation of quality control systems, application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures, the ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices, and the knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems and to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. General Manager Provide direction and support for all departments (except sales) to accomplish monthly, quarterly or yearly company goals.Coordinate and facilitate the interaction between departments. Establish parameters to maintain the ISO 9001:2000 certification program. Provide focus and improvement on product quality and delivery. Coordinate and maintain the informational technology system. Steve Bemis Engineering Project Manager Steve has worked in the molded rubber products industry for more that two decades in both engineering and manufacturing management roles. In the 11 years that he has worked with CT Industries, Steve's experience has led to streamlining administration and production activities, including the development of numerous systems that increased labor efficiencies and reduced lead times.
