For over 50 years, C.T. Male Associates has been offering environmental services to its clients. Today, the Environmental Services Division has grown to include a diversified staff of Environmental Engineers, Scientists, Biologists, Geologists, Industrial Hygienists, Planners and Technicians. These professionals hold licenses in Engineering, Geology, Planning, Asbestos, Lead and various certifications in Environmental Assessment and Erosion and Sediment Control.

The BASF Corporation, with headquarters in Florham Park, New Jersey, came to C.T. Male to develop, design, and direct the construction administration for the Rensselaer Multiuse Building, which also includes Platinum LEED Certification. Located in Rensselaer, New York, the project site is owned by BASF, and was previously utilized as an industrial manufacturing site. As the industrial occupancy of the site has been discontinued, the project site has been remediated and transformed into a safer environment for the Owner and community.

In addition to using BASF manufactured products, steel materials have been salvaged from the adjacent site to provide structural steel components for the new building. Additional salvaged steel, consisting of metal grating, will be utilized to provide a window shading device.

If a facility manufactures or processes any listed toxic chemicals, the threshold quantity will be 25,000 lb per toxic chemical or category.
