Comfort Publishing, Inc. was established in the fall of 2000 in order to serve as the parent company for what was then known as "The Greater Cabarrus Business Magazine". Originally started as a strictly business publication for the Cabarrus region, we published our first issue in January, 2001. We had originally planned to be a bi-monthly publication, but after only two issues, the demand from the public was so great, we decided to go monthly in July of that same year. In 2003, we expanded the focus of the magazine to include lifestyles and human interest stories, so it only seemed appropriate that we changed the name to "Cabarrus Business & Lifestyles". Now, with the inclusion of these types of stories, along with the quality business news people had come to expect from us, the magazine became a betterm well-rounded publication that could appeal to not only business people, but the average residents of the region as well. In the Summer of 2005, Comfort Publishing became a partner with the city of Concord to take over production of the Concord City Circular, which is a magazine that is distributed to almost 30,000 Concord city residents. This publication is owned by the city and Comfort Publishing serves to complete the design and layout, as well asassist with some editorial content. In 2006, Cabarrus Business & Lifestyles changeds its name again to a more condensed title of "CB&L". With a new look and altered focus, we keep pressing on to provide quality local news, as...
