Current News: * Thank you to everyone who participated in the CACRC Recycle Your Electronics Day event at Conn's on Siegen Lane on Friday, January 8! At the event, you donated: 620 computers, 468 CRT monitors, 443 printers, 75 LCD monitors, 58 laptops, and approximately 12,000 pounds of other, miscellaneous e-waste material. Over 25 TONS of material were collected which otherwise could've ended up in a landfill. In equivalent terms, that's enough energy saved to power 121 US households for a year, and a greenhouse gas reduction of removing 85 cars from the road for a year. Thanks to everyone who participated in helping to keep Baton Rouge and Louisiana green! * Although our big event is now over, our warehouse downtown at 800 St. Philip Street takes equipment dropoffs year-round, Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 4pm. * Congratulations to Denise Anderson, Earline Ventress, Kia Williams & Danine Turner who each received a computer from a CACRC Green Santa for the Holidays! * Please note our new fee schedule for equipment dropoffs for 2010.
