Cafe Z was established over 15 years ago with a very simple idea.... quality, homemade food. The original owner, Ron Racioppi, did a phenomenal job with the menu and his philosophy of fresh homemade pasta, sauces and desserts carried on throughout the years. Unfortunately, Ron passed away over 13 years ago and since then Patricia Inghilleri has taken over. Chef Jason and Patricia keep the tradition alive continuing to serve high quality, moderate priced food in a cozy welcoming atmosphere. There were originally three Cafe Z Restaurants. All had the same type of decor and similar food, except the one in New Providence which had a french flair and was called Chez Z. Difficult economic times have forced all but Cafe Z in Union to close their doors. We are in a time when everything is done so fast and impersonal. There are fast food chains & franchises everywhere. It is rare to find a place where you feel welcome and relaxed. Everything we make is made fresh to order. We hope you enjoy the atmosphere as well as the dining experience and look forward to serving you. Our chef, Jason, has been with Cafe Z for over 9 years. He is pictured with Alyssa and Ashley Inghilleri. Jason is a wonderful chef who always tries to please the customers. His kitchen is immaculate and he is always trying new and exciting entrees, appetizers and sauces. Jason and the guys in the kitchen along with two of our waiters...Alex and Anthony.
