We would like to set the record straight on all the questions and rumors circulating regarding the status of CalROCS. CalROCS recently suffered a great loss. Glenn Bonner, who was partly responsible for the resurrection of CalROCS in 2007, has recently announced that he has chosen to part ways in order to pursue other options. To Glenn: Kurtis and all of the CalROCS Family wishes you well in your future endeavors. Kurtis Harryman is excited about the upcoming 2011 Season. He is currently touring California, exploring new venues, and discussing new options with several land owners. He is on the phone non-stop with sponsors who witnessed last years amazingly unique finals ceremony and our competitors sincere gratitude for the honor that was bestowed on them and want to be a part of the never ending surprises experienced by all of our Family. Kurtis assures all that not only will CalROCS live on but it will continue to shock and amaze. Kurtis is using this opportunity to include the competitors, sponsors, volunteers and spectators in the process of ensuring growth. Through collaboration with our Family, Kurtis would like to announce a few changes that are already underway. Earlier this week, He posted that there will be a few class changes. He stated the buggies will no longer be allowed in the 35 and under class and the full bodies will be required to have full skins. We are also currently creating a team to overhaul the CalROCS website. We are all ecstatic over this long overdue fix. These changes were brought about by Kurtis continued dedication to making this event about you, our family. If any of you have any ideas, thoughts, complaints or words of encouragement, please contact Kurtis to ensure you are heard and recognized. We have received so much support from all of you and we want to let you know that it is appreciated. Many of you have asked what you can do to help. Kurtis again thanks you for your faith in his ability to continue to put on a good show and he asks simply for now that you would be patient while we make the necessary adjustments to insure that the 2011 Season is the most rockin CalROCS year yet!
