Your agent will review your application and may arrange for a medical exam, depending on the amount of insurance you're applying for, your age, and your health. The underwriters at the insurer's home office will review the results of your exam and request your file from the MIB Group, (formerly, the Medical Information Bureau) a medical-information clearinghouse.
