Race the series to find out! Join us for the 2010 MARSOC CAMP PENDLETON HARD CORPS RACE SERIES, a ten-race series to determine the Hard Corps Race Series Champion in four divisions: civilian male, civilian female, military male, and military female. Points awarded each and every race 10 deep in both military and civilian category. Camp Pendleton events are located on the Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, convenient to San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Riverside County participants. Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Community Services has been hosting a race series aboard the Marine base for over 10 years. These fun and challenging races, with commemorative t-shirts, tremendous course support, custom awards, and great locations, are the best local events for first-time participants as well as seasoned athletes. Bulldog Bike Race The Bulldog Bike Race is one of only a few road bike events in Southern California and one of four opportunities to ride your bike on Camp Pendleton base. 26-mile out-and-back course. This is a great warm-up for the Duathlon and Triathlon. Chip timed with splits provided. The 5K Run starts wtih the Duathlon. Saturday, March 20, 2010 8:30 a.m. start 43 Area Las Pulgas, Camp Pendleton Hard Corps Marathon The Hard Corps Marathon is a 26.2 mile course, ALL ON PAVED ROADS. The event starts and finishes in the 43 Area of Las Pulgas, heads towards the ocean, and has ocean view thoughout the predominately flat course. Saturday, April 17, 2010 7:00 a.m. start 43 Area Las Pulgas, Camp Pendleton World Famous Mud Run Saturday, Sunday, and Extra The World Famous Mud Runs will be held two weekends in a row due to its popularity. The race cap is 5,500 participants each day. The original and the best! This is a 10K obstacle run with mud walls, tunnel crawls, mud pit, and much more. Race individually or part of a 5-person team. This is the most fun you can have running a 10K! June 5, June 6, and June 12, 2010 9:00 a.m. start Lake O'Neill, Camp Pendleton Sprint Triathlon The Sprint Triathlon is located at ACU-5, Home of the Swift Intruders. Distances: 550 yard swim, 30K bike, and 5K run. Register early for this event as well-race cap is 1,200 entrants to preserve the quality of the event. Chip timed with 5 splits provided. Saturday, August 7, 2010 8:00 a.m. start ACU-5 area, Camp Pendleton Heartbreak Ridge Half Marathon The Heartbreak Ridge Half Marathon is a breathtaking 13.1-mile all gravel off-road course is through the rolling hills of Camp Pendleton in the 43 area. Course is on packed fire roads. Saturday, September 11, 2010 7:00 a.m. start 43 Area Las Pulgas, Camp Pendleton Buffalo Alley 10K Run, 5K Run & Kids 1K Fun Run The Buffalo Alley Runs are off-road cross-country runs. The 10K is challenging; over 500 feet of climbing in the 1st mile, to the top of the ridge, then you will follow the ridge on a loop course that takes you past scenic vistas. 5K Run is around Camp Horno, and the Kids 1K Fun Run is a non-timed event with medals to all finishers.
