Description
Once a vision has been established and a Concept Plan and/or Comprehensive Plan (Master Plan) have been formulated accordingly, then a Regulating Plan (or plans) can be created as a first step in the process of drafting a Form-Based Code (zoning ordinance) to either replace or supplement the existing zoning ordinance and/or subdivision control regulations. CPA principal Michael Campbell co-authored the form based code manual "Form-Based Codes in 7 Steps - The Michigan Guidebook to Livability" issued by CNU-Michigan in 2010.
