The records were not broken in 2006, but there were some nice fish taken. Below are the entries for 2006: Women's Bluefish: - Emily Ewen - 8 lb. 4 oz. - Connie Delano - 7 lb. 6 oz. Men's Bluefish: - John Peterson - 9 lb. 5 oz. These are some great fish on super light tackle! There were no striped bass entries for 2006, but that is sure to change in 2007! Why not try and break the record? With specialized tackle, custom lures, and years of experience, this is an attainable goal. The woman's striped bass world record for 2 lb. test is16 lbs. 6 oz., and the men's record is an even 21 lbs. The men's record for bluefish on 2 lb. test is 17 lbs. 4 oz., while the woman's record is 14 lbs. 9 oz.
