Cape Wind's developer is Energy Management Inc. (EMI) a New England based energy company with 35 years of experience in energy conservation and energy development. ESS Group, Inc. of Waltham, Massachusetts, has been the environmental science specialist for the project. Cape Wind is also being assisted by Woods Hole Group, K2 Management, SgurrEnergy, AWS Truepower, and PMSS. Barclays is Cape Wind's Financial Advisor.
Cheryl began working for EMI in 1997 and has been integral in overseeing the financial aspects relating to the development, construction and operations activities of the power plants managed by EMI. Prior to joining EMI, Cheryl was manager of a regional public accounting firm where she worked for over 16 years, seven of which included being involved directly with auditing power projects developed and built by EMI. Cheryl is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy.
Dennis has more than thirty years of experience as an energy attorney in New England. He has represented a wide array of energy clients, including interstate gas pipeline companies, electric distribution companies, gas distribution companies, water utilities and telecommunications companies. He has also served as special counsel to the Rhode Island Energy Facility Siting Board. He was formerly a partner of the law firm of Partridge, Snow & Hahn and the Chair of the firm's Public Utility Practice Group.
Craig is a registered Professional Engineer holding advanced degrees in Management and Structural Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Boston University. He has thirty years of experience in all aspects of the power industry and is responsible for project development from conception through commercial operation. Responsibilities range from oversight of site selection, fatal flaw analysis, environmental permitting, liaison with lenders, design and construction contracting through production engineering, procurement, construction and start up.
Jim has been in the energy business since 1975 when he founded Energy Management Inc. (EMI) and over the ensuing years he built EMI into one of the most successful privately held independent power companies in America. He recruited and managed a team of dedicated and highly motivated professionals that were able to complete the myriad and complex tasks of creating state of the art power projects.
