Description

In 1931, as the demand for radio repair, service and parts appeared in the marketplace Capitol Radio Wholesalers, Inc. was founded. Originally a storefront in Washington, DC, Capitol Radio distributed radio parts. Capitol's business quickly prospered and grew to be know as "the best stocked and laid out establishment of its kind on the East Coast" (Jobbers Radio News, 1938). As Capitol's success continued, the company name was changed to "Capitol Cable & Technology, Inc." which reflected Capitol's increased focus on cable and connectivity products for video, voice and data.
