Captain Bijou was created to offer movie buffs and collectors a single source for hard-to-find videotapes, collectibles, and other nostalgia-related items not generally found through traditional retail, mail-order or online stores. With more than 35 years of personal experience in the area of movies, movie posters, comics, and collectibles, Captain Bijou's owners and staff are able to use this expertise to offer you an amazing selection of these rare items, regardless of your interests or your age. Whether its John Wayne, Howdy Doody, Fred and Ginger, Amos 'n Andy or today's hottest stars, we're your source. In the 1960s and 70s, we staged some of the largest comic book, Star Trek, science-fiction and nostalgia conventions in the United States. In addition, we published one of the largest film-collector's newsletter, The Film Collectors' Registry. We went from film collecting to offering movies on video as part of The Nostalgia Merchant, a video industry pioneer which manufactured tape for the video stores and general public - long before the major studios got on the bandwagon. Remember the Hal Roach Laurel and Hardy films, RKO's King Kong, Citizen Kane, and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers musicals, or the Republic westerns and serials?
