Description

This car won the 1947 Grand Prix of Albi and was 4th at the G.P. of France and 3rd at the G.P. des Frontieres at Chimay. It ran a total of 18 G.P. races, finishing in the points 10 times. It also won several hillclimbs and sprints, such as the Bellevue hillclimb. The car features one-off bodywork to the order of its owner Louis Rosier, the five-time French National Champion and Le Mans winner (in a Talbot-Lago). It was principally driven by Rosier. Other drivers included Trintignant and famed prewar racer Divo, who recorded his last success in this very car when he won the 1949 Bordeaux Sprints. Its last major race was the 1949 Coupe du Salon race at Montlhery, although it continued to compete at club events until 1952. Since then it has been unused and had only two owners: Pierre Bardinon and Jean Serre, the latter storing it in his barn for nearly 40 years.
