Cardwell Printing was founded in 1977 by William (Billy) Cardwell, a native to the Peninsula. The business started in the Nice Brothers building with two employees – Billy and his son, Donnie, who is still part of the business today.In 1979, the business moved to the Stoneybrook area and grew to five employees and added graphic design to its list of capabilities. In 1986, the business once again moved to 15611Warwick Blvd near Fort Eustis. At that time we gained another seven employees and began doing four color process printing and promotional items.In 1989, his daughter Danette, along with husband Phillip Gibson, took the reins of the shop and in 1995 built the building that currently houses the print shop.
