Description
Our mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and dental care, patient advocacy and related services to people who need them most, regardless of their ability to pay.
Care Alliance is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides primary medical care, dental care and supportive services to individuals living in extreme poverty in Cleveland, Ohio. We provide care on a sliding fee scale based on income, and will not turn anyone away due to an inability to pay.
Dr. Meges joined Care Alliance in January 2009 as a physician and became the acting Medical Director in August, 2010. Beginning November 1, 2010, Dr. Meges accepted the charge of continuing into the role of Medical Director. Dr. Meges has been dedicated to the practice of internal medicine in Cleveland for more than 30 years, spending the majority of his time (17 years) at Parma Hospital. His interests span the medical field and are highlighted by his work lecturing and teaching in hospitals. Dr.
In 1993, Care Alliance became an independent, nonprofit organization. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Care Alliance receives funding from the federal government to provide health care and supportive services specifically to individuals experiencing homelessness . In 1998, Care Alliance broadened its focuses to serve another extremely high-risk group for health disparities, individuals living in and around public housing .
This past year was a monumental year for Care Alliance as we furthered our mission to provide high-quality, comprehensive medical and dental care, patient advocacy and related services to people who need them most, regardless of their ability to pay. We served over 10,000 patients, more than half of whom were experiencing homelessness, through more than 34,000 unique visits.
