Carondelet Center is a host retreat conference center located in the heart of the Twin cities, ten minutes from Twin Cities International Airport and adjacent to the College of St. Catherine campus. The Center, built in 1912 by French-born architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray, is a stately stone and brick building that originally served as the Novitiate for the Sisters of St. Joseph. Today it provides a quiet place of rest, prayer, and reflection for individuals and groups on retreat and as a conference center for small to mid-sized groups. "In creating this space, we wanted it to take on the feeling of our spirituality. There is a sense of hospitality and welcome here that comes out of our concern for the 'dear neighbor' and the way we choose to share our lives. It is filled with the homey warmth that is evident in the way we do things for each other," says Sister Chris Ludwig.
