Carpe' Data evolved from my printing sales career in Silicon Valley. I sold high-end commercial printing between 1980 and 1996, representing a large out-of-state printer for most of that time. For the final three years I was a Regional VP, with 15 sales reps reporting to me. All that time I was writing software that helped me do my job. You could say it was the secret of my success. I shared the software freely with my coworkers and incorporated their suggestions into the evolving program. In late 1996 I founded Carpe' Data and made JOBZ! a commercial product. JOBZ! continues to evolve. Our users offer suggestions for new features, and new technology becomes available that we can incorporate into the product. We train sales reps and sales managers in the best use of the software, and consult on workflow issues that optimize the roles of those who sell printing, and those who help them sell printing. We are also available for custom database development, applying our skills to a diverse range of challenges.
