In 2011, The Lyman Lumber Family of Companies was acquired by the US LBM Holdings, LLC family, a private equity firm formed by BlackEagle Partners , LLC in partnership with US LBM president, LT Gibson. US LBM is one of the fastest growing companies in the building supply industry and is recognized as the 13th largest lumber and building materials distributor in the country. As of 2012, the platform consists of more than 40 locations in eight states, with nearly 1,500 associates servicing the professional building market from seven individually-operated and branded companies. The Lyman Family of Companies has built their reputation in the building materials market by providing customers with the products and services they want and need. All of our staff is committed to and focused on customer satisfaction-which means we know our customers are the real key to true success.

Our roots can be traced back to 1897 when Albert Lyman started a small lumberyard known as Lyman Lumber in Excelsior, Minnesota. Since then that small lumberyard has grown into several companies, but we are still a privately held corporation whose only business is providing goods and services to the residential construction industry.

For over 100 years builders have relied upon us for sound advice, high quality building materials and supplies.

The quality of our products and services is our second most important resource. All of us will work diligently to maintain and, if possible, improve that quality to ensure satisfaction for our customers.
