Cleon Grooms, PT has been a Physical Therapist for 20 years as a graduate from Wayne State University. She has worked with all ages from 0-102. Her continuing education is extensive for manual therapy including Myofascial release, Muscle Energy Techniques, Rocabado's techniques for TMJ dysfunction, CranioSacral, and Functional Orthopedics. She has 16 years of working with men/women with urinary incontinence and other pelvic floor disorders. Cleon has found that a combination of education, manual techniques, and biofeedback give wonderful results.

At Carter Rehabilitation & Aquatic Centers, our professional and supportive staff strives to provide optimal care, emphasizing continuity of treatment and education. It is our mission to evaluate and treat physically challenged individuals experiencing limitations due to trauma or disease in the most cost effective manner. Our therapists develop a rehabilitation program based on the physician’s orders and are designed to meet the needs of each individual patient.

She has a previous experience of working in Acute, Intensive, Immediate, In-Patient, Out-Patient and Community Care Settings. She has experience with hands on approach for Repetitive Strain injuries. Sofia has also worked in a School Setting for Children with Special Needs.

As a wife and Mother of 5, she is dedicated to helping patients achieve their goals in the shortest amount of time possible so that they can resume their lives.

We provide occupational therapy that is beneficial to people who seek a greater sense of freedom and independence following a decline in function.
