Carver Machine Works has an immediate need for Fabricator / Welders to join our production and engineering department. Successful candidates will join a fast paced, challenging work environment and should have fabrication experience in the development and layout of materials and sequence of operations to include positioning, alignment, fitting and tacking.Must also have experience in mig, tig and stick welding applications including flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. Prefer experience with ASME and AWS certifications, including Aluminum, Titanium and Stainless Steels.

With this in mind, CMW worked with a former paper mill winder operator to develop and patent a device for the emergency extraction of an entrapped person from the winding mechanism of a paper machine.

Eight students from Beaufort County Schools received an invitation that most graduates would relish. On Thursday, March 10, eight students from Northside, Southside, and Washington High Schools were invited to Carver Machine Works to tour the plant, learn about the company, and meet the human resource director, Melissa Simons. Mr. Stuart Asby, Vice President of Operations, and Mrs. Simons greeted students and shared information about the history of the company and what kinds of projects it takes on.
