Description

About Advanced Temperature Test Systems GmbH Advanced Temperature Test Systems GmbH designs high-performance temperature control systems for advanced semiconductor manufacturing technologies. Designed for exceptional thermal and mechanical stability and precision, the company offers a wide range of modular solutions for cost-effective system upgrades and easy customization. The company has over 10 years of experience in developing thermal chuck systems for wafer probers as well as specific systems for testing electronic components, hybrids, PCBs or other assemblies at the tester site.

While Cascade Microtech had hoped to be in a position to support our customers' desire to upgrade in advance of the April 8, 2014 date, a recent article from Bloomberg Business Week makes it evident that our customers are in good company. According to the article , nearly 95% of the Automated Teller Machines (ATM) in the United States are still running WindowsXP.

BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwired - Oct 2, 2013) - Cascade Microtech, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCD ), a leader at enabling precision measurements of integrated circuits at the wafer level, has acquired ATT Advanced Temperature Test Systems GmbH ("ATT Systems"), which is headquartered in Munich Germany. ATT Systems is a leader in the manufacturing of advanced thermal systems used in the testing of semiconductor wafers. ATT Systems provides enhanced thermal solutions for wafer testing over expanded temperatures that typically range from -60 to 300 degrees centigrade.

“This is a key strategic move which not only strengthens our product portfolio, but enhances our competency in reliability testing. This moves us closer to our goal of fully-integrated measurement solutions focused on addressing growth markets,” said Michael Burger, President and CEO, Cascade Microtech, Inc. “The acquisition will enable us to aggressively meet the technical challenges our customers have in ramping advanced processes.

Semiconductor process development, modeling and characterization tasks are evolving, time-to-market cycles are shrinking, and the need for greater accuracy is increasing. By working with Agilent to provide guaranteed wafer-level measurement solutions, we can now provide semiconductor engineers the tools they need to perform accurate and fast advanced DC and RF measurements on both components and devices to get their products to market on time.
