Cascadia Consulting Group is a for-profit, privately held firm that develops and implements innovative solutions to today’s environmental challenges. Founded in 1993, we work with private- and public-sector clients to advance sustainability through recycling and materials management, climate change mitigation and adaptation, energy efficiency, and stormwater pollution prevention. The Cascadia team brings both expertise and creative thinking to research and analysis, strategic planning, program design and implementation, and outreach and evaluation.

Client Metro, OR In an effort to plan strategically in the face of changing producer responsibility systems, Metro’s Hazardous Waste Program commissioned Cascadia to develop an effective and action-ready strategy for the evolution of Metro’s HHW collection operations. Through detailed research and analysis, Cascadia is working to provide Metro with the guidance it needs to both influence and adapt to a future with more extensive and effective producer responsibility systems. Client VF Corporation Cascadia is working with the VF Corporation to reduce waste at its facilities across the globe. During the first phase of the project, we surveyed facilities to create a comprehensive global waste generation baseline. We are currently working with VF corporate staff to identify innovative opportunities to increase diversion, reduce waste, and save money.

Cascadia is leading two climate adaptation projects in Vietnam: 1) a pilot project in the coastal city of Hue, Vietnam, and 2) a national-level project that will encompass the country’s 750 cities. The objective of the pilot project is to develop and deploy a customized Vietnamese version of Cascadia’s Climate Impact Decision Support Tool (CIMPACT-DST) that will be used by local city staff to improve the city’s resilience to climate change impacts.
