Following a decade of natural disasters, we have come to the conclusion that the damages resulting from tornadoes, hurricanes, firestorms and earthquakes are not completely the results of the forces of nature. The extensive damages are often enhanced by a man-made factor, namely, the over-dependence on wood frame construction materials and practices. It is now very practical to turn away from organic building materials and in so doing reduce the stress and demands on our nation's forests, while constructing superior quality homes and businesses.
