Welcome to Catacurian, a privately owned boutique cooking hotel in the Priorat region, near Barcelona Spain, providing the best culinary vacations since 2003. We provide our guests with lasting memories and a wonderful experience, in which they not only learn the basics and intricacies of Catalan cuisine as well as a more extensive knowledge of the world class Montsant and Priorat wines, but they also discover a yet unspoiled and authentic part of Spain just two hours from the wonderful city of Barcelona.

This cooking and wine vacation program is just two hours from Barcelona in the wine region of El Priorat, miraculously still untouched by massive tourism, and where unspoiled and pituresque scenery abound. We pick you up and drop you off in the city. Four nights accommodation, four hands-on Catalan cooking classes, two wine tours with full wine tasting, an olive oil tasting presentation, and cultural excursions, will allow you to have a grasp on Catalan gastronomy, wines, olive oils and culture, and discover a beautiful landscape in an authentic surrounding.

This 4-Day program is a great way to discover a part of Catalonia, Spain that is off the beaten path, and being so close to Barcelona, it is also a perfect way to complement a few days in the city with a very different experience. "Off the beaten path", doesn't mean unknown! The Priorat region has been hailed as one of Spain's best wine producing areas, and the olive oils made here are truly world-class as well.
