Jay Causey has practiced for over 35 years in the area of workers' compensation and disability law, including Washington State workers' compensation claims, Social Security Disability cases, Longshore and Harbor Workers' Act cases, Defense Base Act claims, and maritime injury cases. He is past chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Washington Association for Justice (formerly the Washington State Trial Lawyers' Association), and from 1994-1995 served as Chair of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, now called the American Association for Justice (AAJ).

Kit has worked with Mr. Causey since 1989. When hired, Mr. Causey warned her that he planned to only be working five more years. She replied that this was her time-frame, as well. After close to a quarter century, she can't imagine working anywhere else. In addition to her paralegal work, she serves as the Firm Administrator, managing every aspect of the operation of the law firm.
