Michael R. Pender, Jr. has been a partner at CAVANAUGH & CO, LLP for over 35 years. He has experience in all phases of public accounting including auditing, tax, financial planning, business advisory services, as well as fraud and forensic accounting. Michael served as tax advisor to a number of individuals with high net worth, His experience includes work with entertainment professionals, executives, corporate business founders and a member of the PGA.

Since moving to Sarasota, he has been active in a number of organizations. He is a member of the Sarasota Kiwanis Club, while also serving on the Small Business Board of the Venice Chamber of Commerce and the Advisory Board to the Venice Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Sarasota County. Stephen is also the treasurer of both the Kiwanis Foundation and the Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County. He is a past Vice President and Director of the Sarasota Community Blood Bank and has served on the Board of the Sarasota County Special Olympics. CHERYL L.
