Description
This has been an interesting year and one with much to give thanks for at Center and Spring Acupuncture. It was a big restart for me getting back after the broken leg last year and rebuilding my practice. I had a very good year thanks to all of you, especially those of you who shared your confidence in me with your Primary Care Physicians and Specialists including Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Physical and Psycho Therapists and family and friends. Despite a very challenging economy you have helped me to re-grow my practice and be there to serve you. For this I am very grateful. This has been a stressful year for many of my clients, either losing their jobs, suffering cutbacks in hours or business, or having to be the one to do the laying off. I am committed to the continuity of care despite circumstances so, if you are a regular client of mine and find yourself laid off, please talk to me about maintaining your health and well-being during the transition to new work. The year has had both great joy and great pain in the pregnancy and childbirth arena, several babies born and breach babies turned, transitions from much nausea to smoother parts of pregnancy, fear of permanent infertility to conception. Some of you lost babies and went on to conceive and deliver and some are still in the not knowing place. The reality of this work is so mixed, joyful, painful, tearful and productive. Thank you for allowing me to serve you in this part of your journey. I was happy to help with the back pain and avoiding back surgery, relieving sinus and allergy symptoms and easing the load of dealing with the addictions to alcohol, nicotine and food a day at a time. I am thankful for the oasis of calm and rest some with anxiety and insomnia have found in acupuncture treatment. This was a year of moving into video to promote the practice. It came as a blast from the past when two of my old colleagues, Joanne and Jules, from my "shoe dog days" called and asked for my "expert opinion" for a Daily Grommet section on an Acupressure Band on the PC 6 point on the wrist to avert nausea in Pregnancy. Doing them a favor turned out to greatly help my search engine rankings. Then my good friend Kate Raisz, video maker extraordinaire , produced some wonderful video for my practice. Thanks to Julia, who volunteered to be filmed for the first two videos that were made and helping folks understand Acupuncture and be less afraid of it. May these holidays and this quiet time at the end of the year be peaceful and invite reflection and movement in the direction of your health, hopes and dreams.
