W orking together with Christine Smith, the other founding director, she seek s to uphold the Center's vision of providing the highest quality service to anyone seeking help or guidance.

Claire S. Drexler received her Master in Social Work from Temple University and has spent 30 years in the field of death, dying and bereavement. Her entire career has centered on working with individuals coping with life-threatening illness and chronic disability as well as people in palliative care and hospice settings. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is Certified in Thanatology (CT) by the Association of Death Education and Counseling and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Presently, Christine 's role at the Center is to work closely with the Center's fundraising and development committees. In order to maintain the highest quality of programs and services, Christine and Shirley, the founding directors, continue to collaborate regularly in order to maintain the highest quality of programs and services to fulfill our mission and vision at the Center.

Ashley completed the volunteer training in 2008 at the Center and then participated in Camp Millie as an intern. She returned the following summer as a volunteer buddy and has assisted in Nello’s Corner through the years as a substitute. Ashley has since become part of the staff at the Center working as a therapist and group facilitator. She has gained experience working with children and families in the outpatient, school, residential and camp settings.
