Description

The Center for Character Development operates on the belief that adult human beings continue to be affected by the manner in which they were parented as children; it is also contended that this belief is not recognized by most adults. Consequently, when under stress or duress, most people will tend to revert to defensive postures that were learned in childhood and reinforced by parents during the maturation process. These defensive postures are often ineffective for successful mastery of difficult interpersonal situations, and give rise to unhappily stressful families and poorly functioning agencies and businesses.
