Central Insulation and Central Shelving Design, currently operating as Central Systems LLC, was started in 1974 by local Minnesota resident Larry Plocher. Initially, Larry worked sixteen hour days to get the business off the ground. During this time, he did most of the work himself. Taking pride in his work, Larry had started a successful organization that valued quality in everything it did. The company has been around and operated by Larry ever since. Today, Central has expanded well beyond its former self with multiple job crews and numerous services to offer. Always being a leader in the insulation market, Central Insulation has pioneered the way for the Minnesota insulation industry. They were one of the first companies in the country and the first in Minnesota to start installing the Blow-In-Blanket System (BIBS) in the mid 1980s, and has also specialized in the installation of closed cell urethane foam. Besides that, they currently offer standard batting, custom shelving design, and vacuuming services for existing insulation jobs. Central Insulation also specialized in category 1 years before it became part of the Minnesota energy code. Central Insulation is known for being one of the best in the industry. Serving the Twin Cities' metro area for more than 30 years, they represent quality craftsmanship and hometown pride.
