Central Maintenance & Service Company was started in Pittsburgh in 1960 when the owners of Cleaning Materials & Supply Company of Cleveland saw a new trend when their customers began to contract not only for cleaning supplies but janitorial maintenance as well. The idea quickly caught on and, after forming an association, companies were developed in Akron, Youngstown, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Buffalo and Indianapolis. The association flourished through the 1980's until many of the companies changed ownership or were bought out by national cleaning chains. Now employing over 250 people, Central Maintenance & Service Company services an extensive list of clients including some of Pittsburgh's largest corporations and office complexes. Unsurpassed service to our customer is the ultimate goal of our management team, who are directly involved in implementing all contracted specifications to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
