Ceres Policy Research

Description

We are currently evaluating Abriendo Caminos a la Comunidad, a tri-county collaboration of community-based organizations and county offices of education that provides suspended and expelled students with positive internship opportunities. Students are gaining work experience at youth-oriented newspapers, youth development organizations, libraries, and government agencies. In addition to their internships, young people attend weekly meetings where they reflect on lessons learned through the week. Ceres Policy Research has finished the first year report and is developing a youth-led research component for our second year evaluation.
