Description
Chaminade High School is a Catholic school for young men in grades 9-12. The school is named in honor of Blessed William Joseph Chaminade (1761 - 1850), Founder of the Society of Mary, Marianists. The school, with a student population of 1600, is staffed by Marianist Brothers and priests as well as lay men and women. Since its foundation by the Marianists in 1930, Chaminade High School has achieved a reputation for excellence in educating the Catholic young men of Long Island. Students at Chaminade study a college preparatory liberal arts curriculum in an atmosphere that emphasizes the development of Christian community and education of the heart. Chaminade's goal is to foster the development of well-rounded, faith-filled Catholic men.
