Champion EMS serves 13 counties in east Texas with quality emergency services. In addition to emergency transports, Champion EMS provides transfer services for patients needing transportation from hospital to convalescent, rehab or long-term nursing facilities.
Mrs. Persons has been a part of the Champion EMS Communications Team for over a decade, originally starting as a Communications Officer, but quickly rising through the ranks by completing all emergency telecommunications training is short order. She has successfully completed all the requirements of the National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch to become an Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD), thus becoming certified in the skills, knowledge and abilities as an EMD and going on to train in Emergency Dispatch Quality Assurance and she now holds this certification as well.
Champion EMS is dedicated to educating the Community and First Responders to provide the highest standard of care for the citizens in our community.
Champion EMS is dedicated to working closely with the First Responder Organizations. First Responders can include Fire Fighters, Police and Sheriff Officers. These professionals are trained as emergency medical responder who can provide first aid and help stabilize patients while on scene. First Responders operate within the scope of their practice and adhere to the medical direction guidelines from Champion EMS and Texas Department of State Health Services. Champion EMS is currently working with more than twenty-five First Responder organizations.
