Charleston Camera Club is the premiere meeting place for all types of people who love photography. Whether you are an aspiring beginner or an advanced professional, we have something to offer you. We have nine or more informative guest speakers yearly. The first meeting is always the first Monday of each month. Our guest speaker will focus on our artistic, technical, or other aspects of our hobby. Always very informative and we leave with more knowledge and understanding of our artwork. Our second meeting is the third Monday of the month. This is an excellent opportunity to see every member's hard work; it is broken down into two separate categories, Novice and Advanced. Every other month is a scheduled theme for us to show our own unique interpretation for that theme. Of course, our following competition would be open. We choose a photograph on any subject. Competitions are divided into separate categories, Novice and Advanced. Our competition always has Black and White, Color, or Slide, and Digital Art. The Digital Art category is where you have the opportunity to go wild and express your inner artist. Everyone competes equally in this division. For an exceptional learning tool, you can request to have your entry critiqued by a Professional. For complete competition rules please check the web site. Members also have the option to exhibit their photographs in galleries and businesses in the Metro area and throughout the state. ...
