New England’s largest brewing company was founded in 1986. Harpoon Brewery was established along Boston’s waterfront by three Harvard classmates. In 2000, Harpoon expanded and set up an even larger facility in Windsor, Vermont. In 1992, Harpoon IPA was born. This medium-bodied ale uses a dry-hopping process – adding fresh hops to the brew during the conditioning process – allowing for a tailored flavor to match the brewery’s unique spirit.
