Description

The Springfield-Greene County Park Board is committed to provide the highest quality of leisure opportunities, to offer programs for relaxation as well as stimulation, and to encourage personal and community enrichment for the citizens of Springfield, Missouri and Greene County.

Ice hockey through the Greater Springfield Community Olympic Development Program provides boys/girls with the programs necessary for a young athlete to develop the skills to become the best hockey players they can be. The program offers the latest on-, and off-ice training techniques essential to taking a player’s game to the next level. Mediacom Ice Park’s prime location in Jordan Valley Park has access to park trails, two full sheets of ice, and a fitness room all in one location. Our focus is to provide a strong fundamental foundation for players in a fun, competitive atmosphere. We allow kids to grow as hockey players without ever having to leave the Springfield area. CODP provides an opportunity for individual athletes to excel through CODP group camps, training programs, or by individual lessons. Visit CODP Hockey web page.
