Chevron actively works with industry and other human rights organizations to share knowledge and experiences. We chair the Social Responsibility Working Group of IPIECA, the global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues. In this capacity, we facilitate a series of collaborative learning projects and develop practical guidance to improve the industry's management of corporate social responsibility issues, including human rights issues.

We work closely with lubricant manufacturers, additive companies, equipment manufacturers and industry groups, including the American Petroleum Institute, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee, and the Society of Automotive Engineers, to advance industry standards that protect engine performance while enabling environmental compliance for new engine designs.
