Description

Child Action is a private, nonprofit corporation created in 1976 to promote the healthy growth and development of children and families in Sacramento County. We are funded by the State Department of Education, Child Development Division, the Federal Government and the County of Sacramento, to provide services and subsidies to income-eligible families for child care and development services. Services include child care resources and referrals, child care subsidies, recruitment and training of child care professionals, and parent education and support.

We believe that parents are best able to choose the child care that meets their particular family situation. It is our goal to provide parents with information on a broad range of child care services, as well as ways to assess these services.

Our major goal is to promote the healthy growth and development of children and families living in Sacramento County. The services we provide include child care resource and referral, child care subsidies, recruitment and training of child care professionals, and parent education and support.
