Saturday Morning Stories and More at Children's Book World Join us Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. this fall for storytellers, author readings, musical performers and more entertainment for kids and families. Sept. 11: Storytime with Ilene Cohen Join Ilene Cohen and her puppet friend Woody for stories and songs. Ilene is a professional storyteller and puppeteer, recently retired from the Santa Monica Public Library where she served as a Children's Librarian for 38 years. Ages 3 -7. Oct. 2: If You Take a Mouse to School Play Preview Actors from Santa Monica's Morgan-Wixson Theatre will present a preview of their new show, If You Take a Mouse to School, based on Laura Numeroff's charming and funny book. If you think giving a mouse a cookie is a recipe for disaster, try taking one to school. See what happens when the famous little mouse from "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" attends his first day of school. Join the actors for the fun preview of scenes from the play, which will run Saturdays and Sundays from October 9 - 24 at the Morgan-Wixson Theatre. Ages 4 and up.
