It is probably the first modern style lawn care business in the nation with doors opening in 1947. With his wife Liz handling the office duties — she was the entire staff — Bill was instrumental in ridding downtown Spokane of a horrendous rodent infestation. after the demise of over 10,000 rats, Spokane was designated a "rat free city" in 1952. His early success with pest control established his reputation as the region's top expert in his field.
