Description

Ms. Goulet worked at the Island Pond National Bank and Community National Bank in Island Pond for over 20 years.

Following World War II, they moved to McAdam, New Brunswick, where her husband was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1968, they moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec, for a short period of time and later to Newport, where the family settled for over 40 years.

The Pechalonis family resided on Daniels Pond in Glover for over 30 years before moving to Lyndonville in 2004.

Georgia Young has worked at the Chronicle for over 25 years. She started in the subscription department and currently is the circulation manager. She also does display ad billing, proof reading and delivers papers. She is a woman with many hats. She grew up in West Glover and has lived in Vermont all her life (so far) except for a year in Adana, Turkey, and two years just outside of Washington, D.C. She is the mother of three grown sons and has five grandchildren and is a daughter of the infamous Loudon Young. Contact her at subs@bartonchronicle.com .

She played the church organ at Saint James the Greater Catholic Church in Island Pond for over 50 years and also helped to conduct the choir. Additionally, she played in the Dean King Orchestra for several years.
