Welcome to Chucklehound.com. Thanks for stopping by. This website was initially started back in 1997 or so by myself and Johannes ("Jos") Claerbout as the homepage for Chucklehound Entertainment. Jos and I had made a film earlier that year called Earth on Fire . It was not a particularly good movie (though our lead actor was awesome - the problems with the film are entirely my fault), but that didn't stop us from trying to make more, as well as planning to expand our media empire by releasing some records . We made a few more short films both together and separately, but then Jos passed away at a tragically young age. His father's done a fantastic job putting together a website all about Jos , which I highly recommend. I kept the site active and started glomming other things onto it. I migrated over an online literary zine I started back in 1994 . I started writing up a bunch of reviews of just about anything and tried to get my friends to join in. Pretty much the only friend who really got into the reviewing was Math, who started his own blog about movie remakes and sequels . There are also some little odds and ends that are hard to categorize - a random name generator and a film literacy quiz . There used to be a fun little game based on box office data, but the data was so old I pulled it until I could devote the time to update it properly. Lately, I haven't really been paying a lot of attention to the main site. Most of my energy has been devoted to my personal blog , which mostly consists of my thoughts on movies and TV and music and such, as well as my recent project to record a bunch of covers of pop songs without actually listening to the songs first.
