Cielo Institute, Inc., founded in 1996, is a center for biophysical theory and applications located in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  The Institute consists of a multidisciplinary group of mathematical, physical, chemical, biophysical and biomedical research scientists. Our Mission: The goal of the Institute is to apply dynamical systems, ergodic-measure theory and statistical mechanics to problems involving brain and behavior.
