In March, 1990, the Lord spoke to Johnny Wells and Joseph I. McRoy, Sr. to leave their churches and start a new church, Circle of Faith Ministries. On March 25, 1990, the Circle of Faith Ministries was officially started with nine members, Johnny & Marilyn Wells, Cheryl and Amanda Wells, Joseph & Linda McRoy, Sr., Joseph I. McRoy, Jr., Eric and Joshua McRoy. On April 2, 1990, the church was organized as a corporation with the State of Florida, with Joseph I. McRoy, Sr., President, Johnny Wells, Vice President, Linda McRoy, Secretary and Marilyn Wells, Treasurer. The first service was held in the training room of the Rainbow Sales office at 5810 Macy Avenue, Jacksonville, Florida. One month later, the church was relocated in the Walter Williams Real Estate office on Merrill Road. In 1993, the church again relocated at 1432 Rogero Road. In 1996, the Circle of Faith Ministries purchased building five from Mr. Hugh Smith, where we are currently located at 6360 Commerce Street. At the time of purchase, it was unknown to the Pastors and members the historical significance of the property. However, upon applying for rezoning and building permits, it was discovered that the property had been designated on February 7, 1994, as a city of Jacksonville Landmark. After many struggles, much prayer and a lot of hard work, the building was completely renovated, with the original foundation and frame still existing.
