Citizens State Bank was chartered in 1919. In 1981, our bank became a subsidiary of Citizens State Financial Corporation, a locally owned, multi-bank holding company. First Bank, Groveton, Texas, has been our "sister" bank since 1982, when it was acquired by the holding company.
