Davidson in 1950, when his employment as a glass worker was interrupted by a prolonged labor dispute. Needing a job to support his young family, the enterprising young man determined to establish his own glass business. In a one-stall, dirt-floored garage, Davidson set up shop for the newly named City Glass Company. A half-century later, City Glass has expanded to three fully equipped, modern locations with more than 70 employees servicing the metropolitan Colorado Springs area. As the business has grown and succeeded in a market that has fluctuated widely through many boom-and-bust years, the family-owned-and-operated company has earned respect as a steadfast landmark among local businesses. Its strength has always been its ability to provide fast, quality service with affordable pricing and warrantied products and installations. Now operating under the leadership of the founder's son, Jim Davidson, City Glass Company specializes in custom and stock glass works for both residential and commercial concerns.
